but there are some awesome mods that can take your experience to the next level. FOMM highly recommended ( Or if you're feeling foolish, try Vortex.Just kidding please don't ) Thats about it :) I just wanted to make this because there really isn't a complete fix like this anywhere else that includes the Broken Steel stories. Thankfully NMM can do this for you and is quite good at it. Fallout: New Vegas mod adds new DLC-sized expansion to Obsidians RPG. Fallout 3 ( Not the Van Buren version ) ) - DLC Broken Steel - Preferably a mod manager. Learn about the "sorting" utility within Nexus mod manager, Beth mods NEED to load up in a particular order alot of the time, if you dont load them like that, they will break.Try and use common sense to look for compatibility issues, if you are looking at a mod that changes weather and see another mod that does are likely not going to get along.Only install a few mods at a time before testing, to make trouble shooting easier.READ EVERYTHING seriously, some mods need to be installed in a particular way or have compatibility patches/compatibility mods DO NOT OVERLOOK THIS.After your run around and see if everything is as it should be/mods are working test make a backup of the whole game somewhere so you can restore if things go horribly wrong (and they can go horribly wrong, like break everything and need to redownload levels of wrong.(if you don't understand what I mean by the vault play the game and you will) I will boot at least 1 of these saves up (depending on the mod im testing) to see how stable things are, for example if you are getting a char creation hair pack mod, I test from the VERY start, if im testing a weather mod of course I test when outside, AND just before leaving the vault to see if that "transition" causes a crash After installing every few mods do a quick run around test to look for anomalies (I use 3 saves, one at the VERY start of the game, one just before exiting the vault and one RIGHT after exiting the vault.Use the Nexus Mod manager, or Fallout Mod Manager it will save you much frustration, the diffrence is FOMM will be more compatable with FO3 mod installation, but its not as feature rich as NMM, NMM isnt as compatable since its newer then ALOT of FO3 mods. That being said for the love of god read you installation notes, use FOMM and learn how to mod FO properly. I have used all of these other then "errors corrections" so you shouldn't have compatibility issues. "The Nexus" is love, "the Nexus" is life.įallout Script extender: (needed for some mods)įallout Stutter remover: (FO is unplayable to me without this)įake Fullscreen Mode Windowed: (iirc fixes some instability issues)
